An Update.

Hello to you my followers all three of you or something. So I haven’t written a proper entry in here for a while and I thought I would toss a quick update of what I’ve been up to lately since I moved to Edmonton at the end of September. So I found a job at Tip Top Tailors in the Southgate Shopping Center and am working as what they call a ‘wardrobe consultant’ which basically means I sell men suits and other articles of clothing. So far I am enjoying it quite well, it’s a pretty easy job to do with the exception of having to wear those hard shoes for 8 straight hours, but beggars can’t be choosers. When I’m not working I’m usually at the house I share with Dave and Allison, being lazy for the most part. I’ve been to one Oiler game so far when they played the Minnesota Wild. It’s a fun thing to live in a city with a real professional sports team. It’s almost as if having a team like the Oilers gives the entire city a neat sense of community. So far I am really liking living here and don’t really see a time in the near future where I will return to Steinbach for good, although I’m hoping to be there for a week in January. Merwyn is coming to visit me tomorrow until Monday. I’m pretty excited and am hoping he’s just one of many visitors I’ll be having over.

Roenick! What a way to kick off a great game. Nice to see JR getting some recognition from the city where he made his name. Hopefully the ol’boy ends up in the hall sometime in the future.

Dear Chicago Cubs

It’s the time of year where again I write and let you know how I feel as a fan of your organization after another rough season. First of all, I understand that there were injuries to members of the team. I won’t make this a repeat of last year where I demand that final results next year be a World Series championship. I will say, that I expect you to make some good off season aquisitions. Did you know Jason Bay can file for free agency this year? Get on it. Also while another hot bat or two would be great additions, I think it’s time to think about the mound. Cole Hamels is unhappy in Philadelphia after a rough season, sure he didn’t play that great this year but lets remember last year and not kid ourselves. He will bounce back. Think about it. Also, Halladay would be a great way to help you get a couple extra wins next season. I know that your new owners can come up with some creative trade to land him as the new #1 starter. I really hope for nothing but a great up coming season for ‘us’ this season. My only major wish is that before I’m an old dead man in a casket I can write my post season team letter and all it will have to say is ‘Job well done gentlemen!’ and thats it.
